The game just recieved its biggest update yet in its early access, and now has over 5 million unique players. Grounded is an open world survival game that shrinks players down to the size of insects in a suburban backyard. Make sure to update your anti-virus and, if possible, whitelist the new game to prevent problems with connecting to Obsidian’s servers. According to Obsidian, connectivity issues could be caused by anti-virus software. What to do if the Grounded multiplayer is not working. You cannot join your friends if they choose single player at the main menu. The hosting player must be in a multiplayer game to have friends join. Grounded currently does not have a way to directly invite friends to your game (sending game invites is a feature coming soon), but you can still play with your friends.
